April 21, 2026 - Budderfly founder and CEO Al Subbloie was featured in Hartford Business Journal, highlighting the company's milestone of surpassing $1 billion in total capital raised following a $550 million debt facility expansion led by Global Infrastructure Partners, part of BlackRock. The article also covered Budderfly's launch of its "Energy Lake" battery storage offering, now rolling out at 11 locations, and the company's more than $250 million in revenue last year.

"The world is struggling … to get energy to build data centers," Subbloie said. "And we're sitting here with the safest, easiest kilowatt you could ever have — the kilowatt you don't need to use." On the company's growth and investor confidence, he added: "The reason these big financial players are giving us so much money, it's because they're comfortable with where we're going to put it, and we know the return we're going to get from it."
