Veteran Tech Executive Al Sporer Joins Budderfly to Lead and Expand Sales Efforts

Veteran Tech Executive Al Sporer Joins Budderfly to Lead and Expand Sales Efforts

National search lands leader with software, outsourcing and
business transformation successes

SHELTON, CT, November 9, 2020 – Budderfly, the fastest growing firm in the Energy Efficiency as a Service market, today announced Al Sporer as the company’s first head of sales. The New Jersey resident and former United States Air Force Officer joins the company immediately where he will oversee a major expansion of the energy outsourcing firm’s sales team and development of new business and partner relationships as Vice President Sales.

Sporer comes to Budderfly with a reputation for combining motivational leadership with a detailed knowledge of technology and digital business issues from a senior post at Anexinet where he led the Digital Transformation company in helping clients grow by transforming existing business models to incorporate new systems and technologies.

“Al brings the complete package of skills and experience to our team that we need to smoothly move to the next level of growth and penetration into the Energy as a Service marketplace,” said Budderfly Founder, Chairman and CEO Al Subbloie, “his background as a builder of companies and working at the top-most level of the technology industry as it evolved over the past 25 years is exactly what we were looking for at this time.”

The Michigan native’s career has included early management training at Accenture and then two stints of constantly expanding sales and technology leadership roles and responsibilities at EMC and then CA Technologies (now part of Broadcom). These followed his five years in the Air Force where he rose to the rank of Captain and had strategic planning roles at the Pentagon.

“I could not be more excited than to join a company that is poised to become a major national player in the transformation of the relationship of energy and operations to technology and digitation,“ explained Sporer, “this opportunity is the perfect next step for me after growing other firms to become giants within their fields and having spent the last few years diving into the ways to take technology to the next level for client businesses across many industries.”

“It was the diversity of enterprise level experiences, growing groups from a few million dollars to hundreds of millions and managing teams from 15 to 800 people that attracted us to Al Sporer,” noted Subbloie, “we are moving to the next level in many areas of our own transformation and Al will be able to jump on board and immediately connect with customers and move us in the right direction.”

Sporer, a University of Michigan graduate, is a Northern New Jersey resident married to Angie with four children. He is an avid outdoor person, a struggling musician and is working through his relation with his cats while usually siding with the family dog.
